Fairbury’s All Town Garage Sale – here comes the third and final installment of the GFWC (Fairbury Women’s Club) sponsored 2016 Garage Sale Extravaganza – Friday & Saturday, September 23rd & 24th, are the dates and, “its all systems go”. All you treasure hunters, bargain hunters, antique hunters, and shopping enthusiasts can start your anticipation engines and get ready to grab a map of the residences that will be “fair game” for the hunt that has no limits on what you “bag”. The Fairbury Women’s Club has done this for a whole lot of successful years and they are organized and efficient in getting folks signed up and getting the information public, so watch for the maps that they put out and plot your course. They will be available at several local business sites, or on line, starting the week of September 19th – on line you can go to City of Fairbury or, get a printed version at Dave’s Supermarket, R&D Liquors, Doc’s Pharmacy, Casey’s, Spotted Owl, Fairbury Dairy Queen, Serendipity, Fairbury Furniture, or Once ‘n Again.
Now, if you’re one of those of us who have come to grips with “reality” and decided, yep, its time, and you want to get into the traffic flow of “the hunt” in order to reduce your accumulated inventory of “stuff” then here’s how to do that. Give Carol a call at 815-692-2910 and get yourself registered and she can fill you in on the details. You need to do that by Sunday, the 18th, and it costs $10 – with that registration you can list up to 10 items or categories. If you have more than ten that you’d like captioned with your sale it costs $1 per item over ten. By getting registered you will be listed on the map (so everyone can find you and, you’d be surprised how many people use those maps) and you become part of the event advertising that blankets the town and the surrounding area. So, if you’ve got a garage, driveway, or yard that you want to set-up for this great way to divest yourself of excess possessions then jump on board with Carol and get yourself listed – those that have done so in the past have been very happy with the results.

Friday, Sept 23rd – 9am to 6pm
Saturday Sept 24th – 9am to 3pm
