SELCAS Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast on June 24th
FAIRBURY, IL – SOUTH EAST LIVINGSTON COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICE – On Saturday, June 24th – the day of the UMP Summer Nationals, SELCAS will be hosting a breakfast at the American Legion building just east of the Fairbury race track at the corner of Pine Street & 4th Street.
This year half the proceeds will go to Team Brent to help offset expenses for his continued recovery. Brent suffers from Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm (a rare form of Leukemia). He currently is NED (No Evidence of Disease) but will continue treatment at St. Jude’s in Peoria.
The other half of the proceeds will go to the Fairbury Police Dept. for updating their firing/practice range. Presently there is no shelter or canopy. The target area needs more dirt, and the lumber in the target area needs to be replaced. A small permanent shelter is planned to improve the conditions on hot days and when it is raining.
The Breakfast will be from 7-11am serving Biscuits and Sausage Gravy & a bottle of water – all for $5! Patrons can eat their breakfast onsite, or they can get an order to go. It is suggested to call ahead for “to-go” orders. The phone number for carry-out orders is (815) 848-2145. If you order five orders or more, they will be delivered if you live in Fairbury. If you have any questions, call (815) 692-3452. A second breakfast will be held July 29th during the Prairie Dirt Classic.
