FAIRBURY, IL – All Town Garage Sale – The Fairbury Women’s Club is launching the final chapter in their 2015 Garage Sale events coming up on Friday and Saturday, September 25th & 26th. These organized All Town extravaganzas have proven to be very popular with Folks looking to lighten their household inventories and those that like to treasure hunt, bargain hunt, needed items hunt, and, even the browsers. This phenomenon has become like the “sport of shopping” and it works in a way that turns all kinds of things from not needed to, “thank you very much” from new owners. The GFWC II Fairbury Women’s Club has a long upstanding history in putting these events together, getting the word out through maximum exposure in a huge variety of public communications, and getting both seller and buyer coordinated with the opportunities at hand.
For you potential sellers – you need to get in touch with Carol Ely (the well experienced Guru of this event) and get yourself registered so you can get your location on “The Map” which becomes a big help in getting you on the way to finding new owners for those things that you don’t need anymore. Carol’s number is 815-692-2910 and she can walk you through the process. It costs $10 to list 10 items and an extra $1 a piece for items over ten. You need to get that done by the end of the week before because the maps, the listings, and all the final official organized details will be going to press for public availability. If you’ve been procrastinating about “making room” here is a great opportunity to get into the mainstream of what has become a very popular function that draws them in from all over the area.
For you “hunters” – look for the maps and listings that will be available at these Fairbury businesses – Dave’s Supermarket, Hearts Desire Antiques & Accents, Doc’s Drugs, Casey’s General Store, Dairy Queen, Once ‘n Again, and Indian Creek Reality – plan your route through the maze of treasure cove hot spots with the inspiration that whatever you need, want, or could want is out there. If you don’t find it then it’s only because someone else beat you to it.
Both days are scheduled to throw the starting gates open at 9am so plan to get out there and make it happen – get into the scheme of things for your sale or make your plans to “go shopping” and, nothing says you can’t do both.
