Fairbury American Legion Speedway – it’s been a big event, thrill packed summer of racing so far and the big money tickets are still churning and burning that quarter mile dirt track up. Coming up on Saturday, September 5th, is the Casey’s AMS Modified Nationals which puts the American Modified Series on center stage. 50 laps, $10,000 to win and you can count on a full field of drivers from all over the circuit that will once again deliver that “edge of the seat” racing excitement that the Fairbury Speedway is renown for.
In addition, the race card for that Saturday evening will also showcase the Corn Belt Clash/American Late Model Series Special which is 40 traffic jammed laps with the guys going for a $5000 winning prize. On the “under card” is the Mullins Race Engines Shootout which is a feature for non-qualifiers so you Racing Fans are in for a packed evening of thrills, spills, dust and thunder as these “eat my exhaust” jockey’s do their best to use up your adrenaline as well as their own in their quest to be the first one over the finish line.
Come on out and be a part of it, plenty of parking, plenty of seating, plenty to eat and drink, and, some very exciting flashy entertainment. The Speedway is on the south edge of Fairbury with entrances at the south ends of First and Third Streets, time trials start at 6pm and it just gets better from there. See you in the home stretch!
