DAVE’S SUPERMARKET ANNIVERSARY PIG OUT Dave’s Supermarket, one of Fairbury’s premiere businesses, will be celebrating their 67th anniversary with their annual “Pig Out Lunch” on Tuesday, June 13th, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Located at 120 South Third Street (two blocks north of Route 24) this family owned and managed grocery business has become an icon in the community’s grocery and household commodities. Unlike so many of the small town grocery stores that have become just a memory, Dave’s has moved with the times and they truly live up to the “Super” part of Supermarket. Started by Dave Steffen in 1950, with just a corner location, they have expanded to today’s modern arrangement that occupies the entire south half of the block between Second and Third streets. 67 is a lot of years and it is a testimonial to their competitive pricing, quality, service, and innovative strategies that have kept customers from both near and far satisfied and coming back. In addition to the thousands of items that they stock, they also have a great Deli (the 3rd Street Deli), a Bakery that turns dough into nothing but good things, a meat department that has a great reputation, and a produce department that is outstanding. Add to that a Customer Service team and operation that makes it happen in a friendly and knowledgeable way and you have a very comfortable source for your kitchen and household needs, a customer service team that really knows the answer to “what is a cdp” and that care about customer service. Dave’s is open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 9pm and they are User Friendly from the parking to the wide shopping aisles to their money saving weekly specials so, come on in and see for yourself why so many of their customers say “Wow!” The June 13th Anniversary “Pig Out” will feature pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, sides, and drinks at “customer appreciation” pricing and will be available come rain or shine. Third Street, in front of the store, will be closed off for use as a dining area and the east parking lot will be the scene of some great musical entertainment put on by the infamous DJ and Radio Host, Bones Bach and his associates. Of course, the entertainment is subject to the weather but, you still have good food, good people, and good times – see you there! |
