FAIRBURY, IL – Pancakes & Sausage – the age old breakfast staple. Always a favorite with folks and Fairbury has got a bunch of guys that are willing and able to fix you all you can eat. Come for breakfast, come for lunch, or do something in between and call it brunch – stay as long as you like and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being amongst friends and friendly’s. Fairbury’s chapter of the International Order of Odd Fellows is staging their 68th pancake and sausage breakfast/lunch on Saturday, February 4th from 7am to 2pm and they will be serving up this combination of batter and meat in the ornate confines of the I.O.O.F. Hall located on Fairbury’s Main St. (Locust – North Side).
It’s beside Meyer’s Gifts and Services, about halfway between Second & Third Streets. So, look for the sign, then the door, and you can head on up the stairs to the second floor and enjoy some down home style hospitality with an endless supply of appetite busting components. They’ve got coffee, juice, and water to wash it all down with, it’s all reasonably priced, and you’ll be helping out a group of Fellows that do nothing but good things for the community. By the way, if you (you guys) like what you see and hear then, check it out, there could be a place for you in the Order if you’d like to get involved, new members are always welcome.
There’s the place to be, come February 4th, so go on up and get filled up – you can probably catch up on what’s going on in the area too because there are always several of “in the know” folks at these events that can fill you in. Bring the family, bring your friends, and bring yourself for some serious “griddle artistry” – there’s plenty of room for all and your appetite will love you for it. See you there!
