McDonald’s Family Restaurant, Fairbury, IL –
Ronald McDonald is having a birthday and McDonald’s is honoring the “Old Guy” with a recognition of the event by offering a piece of birthday cake to each of its customers with their order. This is not some guy running around in a clown outfit but rather the REAL Ronald McDonald, owner and operator of McDonald’s Family Restaurant in Fairbury and an Icon in the business for longer than most of us have been around. There is Dave Thomas from Wendy’s, Bill Gates of MicroSoft, and the REAL Ronald McDonald from McDonalds Family Restaurant in Fairbury!
Mr. McDonald, and his enterprising wife Sue, have operated the Family Restaurant for decades, recovered from a devastating fire, remodeled and upgraded, and have done a superb job in the process. Along with their daughters Kelly and Kim, and son Jay who works part-time, they offer a seven-day dining venue that is complete with breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is renown for their lunch and dinner buffet as well as a full menu that covers every aspect of individual and family dining. Mr. McDonald likes to cook from scratch – preparing dishes “from the bone.” He comes to work every day, enjoying the life of serving others.
The McDonalds family is a great family working together to serve the community and taking care of people looking to relax and have some good food.
This “birthday party” is happening on Thursday, August 27th so stop by, get a bite to eat and a piece of cake to go with it and give Ron your condolences on being put in the limelight and congratulations on a long standing job well done. Happy Birthday Ron and many more – no one can work a griddle like you can!
