FAIRBURY, IL – Race Fans – As in Stock Car Racing. Here you go, the Fairbury American Legion Speedway is sponsoring a “Fan Appreciation” night on Saturday, May 30th and they are reducing the general admission ticket price from $10 to $5. In addition they have a lot of special events going on within the event – there’s a Nostalgic Vintage Display, a race drivers reunion, and a Kids Dash for Cash race along with the Alkota ‘Keep it Clean’ race. This comes to you alongside a regular evening’s race program that involves all the classes of stock cars that fill “the need for speed” on one of the most exciting quarter mile dirt tracks in the area. For you “true blue Fans” this is icing on the cake and, for you “sometimes Fans, this is a great reason to spend a Saturday night enjoying some exciting entertainment for a reduced price and getting a chance to see some of the history and talent that has gone into making it so.
As always, there are plenty of “Fan Accommodations” with the food stands and beverage availability that compliment the ample seating so bring the family, the friends, and certainly yourself, for “Fan Appreciation Night” and see how your adrenaline can get amped up. In a “cloud of dust” and with a “hearty Hi yo Silver” we’ll see who gets to be the Lone Ranger for each racing event on the program – watch how the Thunder makes for the Plunder and Blunder with all these experienced Road Warriors.
