FAIRBURY, IL – 46th Semi-Annual Community Clothing Exchange – on August 24th to 26th 9am to 5pm – Hear ye, hear ye – all of you Folks out there who have things hidden away in your closets, in the bottom of your drawers, in those storage boxes in the attic – clothes, purses, shoes, linens, or baby items – here’s a chance to put them to good use. Those items that your kids, or you, have outgrown or just plain don’t have a “fit” for anymore – things that you no longer need or want. You can bring them up to the Fairbury First Baptist Church and they, in turn, will put them out for other’s to pick from for things that they may need or want and, if you see something in that assortment of personal items that fits your needs or wants you can do a “swapsies” in return for the things you’ve donated. It’s a good cause and done in a caring nature that benefits everyone who participates, especially those less fortunate. C’mon, it’s time you cleaned out some of your storage spaces anyway so why not make it part of a generous effort that helps everyone involved. And, anything that doesn’t get “reclaimed” will be forwarded to the Friendship House in Peoria which is a non-denominational facility in Peoria that serves economically suppressed neighborhoods so, win-win-win! <
