FAIRBURY, IL – Mandarin Food Fans – Fairbury’s own Top Chinese Chef, Ziu-Ying Zheng (Wilson for short), has his December “Surprise Buffet Item” on the docket. As usual, he is protecting the mystique of the surprise so we’ll have to stop in on Wednesday, December 16th, between 11:00 am and 9:30 pm to find out what oriental culinary dish he’s come up with. Chef Zheng has been doing this for a year now, once a month preparing a special Mandarin item for the buffet, and it has added a unique touch to an already popular buffet that’s full of plate filling entrees and sides.
There is a great variety including a cold bar for sauces, salads, fruit, and puddings and the special soup kettles. Lunch or dinner, either in house or to go, is a pleasant alternative to the meat and potato diets that most of us are redundant in so come on up and check it out, get a taste of the orient and take a break from standard fare. If you’re a fan already then you know what we’re talking about and if you haven’t been then Wednesday, December 16th would be a good time to try it because it’s “Surprise Buffet Item” day – it’s all you can eat so bring your appetite!
