The Country Cupboard – these friends of the community, out there on Route 24 east of Fairbury are finding more ways to help us enjoy the uniqueness of their food shop. On Saturday, September 13th, they are hosting their second “Donut Day” and, just as the name implies, there will be donuts – all kinds. Fresh and homemade, prepared to perfection you will find an assortment that includes the flavors of pumpkin, chocolate toffee, apple cider, and salted caramel, as well as specially assembled mixtures that are free of gluten, dairy, egg and nut ingredients.
Come on out and enjoy some of these baked delights, they’re very comfortably priced and the tasteful experience can be enhanced with a cup of their great coffee – coffee lovers will appreciate this liquid refreshment and you will find their coffee assortment temptingly priced for the occasion and packaged for your own take home use.
“Donut Day” has a few other attractions that go with the program – you can sample their specialty spreads in flavors that include apple butter, pumpkin butter, pumpkin pecan butter, or peanut butter and if you like them (how could you not) then you can purchase some for home at a nice savings as well.
They will also have a very nice sale going on with their ham, turkey, and cheeses from their deli – all sliced to your liking There’s a lot of stuff that is priced to accommodate your budget while providing a very nice taste treat both on the spot and for your take home enjoyment. Obviously the store has rows of shelves that are loaded with unique culinary and utensil ideas in addition to these special mention options and your interests won’t go unappeased after browsing through this arrangement of both special and regular kitchen domain items – dark chocolate covered almonds, umm good! You can even do lunch if you’d like – add a deli sandwich to the donut of your choice and see why their deli is as popular as it’s reputation indicates.
The Country Cupboard is also introducing their frequent shoppers card, the “Munch Punch” – get one and then when you make your regular purchases you’ll get a punch and, bingo, when the card is “punched out” you’ll save even more.
