Spence Farm Foundation Hosts Grow and Give Garden

(Sept. 13, 2017 | Fairbury, IL) – OSF HealthCare is a proud sponsor of the Spence Farm Foundation’s Grow and Give Garden. This year, the garden has produced more than 500 pounds of produce, allowing the Spence Farm Foundation to educate the public on growing, harvesting and preparing fresh foods. The Grow and Give Garden has also served five area food pantries with produce donations, and encourages the community to get involved through volunteer opportunities.
On Saturday, September 23 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am, the media is invited to the annual Grow and Give Garden Volunteer & Sponsor Appreciation Day. The day will include an education demonstration, comments from community leaders and a side dish made from the garden’s produce. We ask you to come witness the good this garden does for the entire community.
