FAIRBURY ECHOES MUSEUM – FAIRBURY HISTORY TRIVIA NIGHT
Want to have some fun with history – as in Fairbury’s History? The Fairbury Echoes Museum is sponsoring a History Trivia Night that promises to be fun for, well, just about anyone, especially history buffs. It is localized history, as in Fairbury, but what a great way to not only share what you know while hearing what others can offer that you didn’t – especially the “folks in the know” that are running the show.
The goal here is support for the Museum and the tickets are $10 per person and the program is being offered as a sort of competition, they ask the questions and the audience answers. You can play as a team or go solo and the event is shaping up to be a lot of fun in addition to being an informative learning experience, especially for the younger residents. It will be held at the Indian Creek Country Club in their upstairs banquet room and tickets can be purchased in advance at Dave’s Supermarket, Antiques & Uniques, or at the Echoes Museum – all in Fairbury – or, you can purchase them at the door. The program starts at 7:00pm and there will be snacks and beverages provided along with door prizes and it all happens on Saturday, September 9th. Bring the family, have some fun, and see what kind of history trivia comes to light as regards this great town we live in – it’s pretty much a sure bet that you’re going to hear some things that will surprise you!
