Here comes another opportunity for you folks who want to reduce their level of “stuff” and for you others who want to increase theirs. It’s the second installment of the Fairbury Women’s Club 2017 “All Town Garage Sale” extravaganza and it is a very organized event with the “I’s” dotted and the “t’s” crossed. If you would like to use your garage, driveway, or yard to offer your “no long needed” household items to a public that has had the information made very visible to them then jump on board. Fairbury’s GFWC does a great job with the advertising, map preparation, and organized structuring and they have a history of attracting shoppers from near and far.
This summer edition will be taking place on Friday, July 28th from 9am to 6pm and Saturday, July 29th, from 9am to 3pm. It costs $10 to register and you can do that by calling Carol Ely at 815-692-2910 and she can guide you through the process. To get yourself into the mix you need to register by Friday, July 21st and that will get your location into the advertising publications and also your identification on the printed maps that will be made available at many of the local businesses. You can list up to 10 items/categories that you might like to have advance advertising for and, if you have more than that, you can list additional items for $1 per item.
These All Town Garage Sales have been sponsored by the Fairbury Women’s Club for a lot of years and they have a proven history of successful participation for both sellers and buyers. There’s no better time than the present to make that move and get the clutter out of storage and, for you bargain hunters, treasure hunters, and the like, it’s a great opportunity to go “hunting”. They’re fun and they can be pretty exciting if you find what you want or need so, for you sellers, Good Luck and, for you shoppers, Happy Hunting!
