Fairbury’s All Town Garage Sale – here comes another opportunity for you folks who want to reduce their personal possessions and for others who want to increase theirs. Its the second installment of the Fairbury Women’s Club 2016 “All Town Garage Sales” and its an organized event that dots the “i’s” and crosses the “t’s”. If you would like to use your garage, driveway, or yard to offer your “no longer needed” clothes, tools, equipment, housewares, etc. to the general public then here is a way to do it that comes complete with advertising, maps, and organized structuring that has a history of attracting buyers from near and far. You can contact Carol Ely at 815-692-2910 for the details and the $10 registration fee can be dropped off at her residence at 409 West Chestnut St. in Fairbury. This summer edition will be taking place On Friday, July 29th, and Saturday, July 30th and to get yourself included as a sale location you need to get that registration accomplished by Friday, July 22nd. For the $10 fee you get a spot in the well placed advertising which goes up at several business locations as well as the local media (18 different publications) and your residence will be shown on the maps that go out to the public. You can list up to 10 items, or categories, of those things you intend to sell and, you can add to that list for an additional $1 per item over ten.
These All Town Garage Sales have been sponsored by the Fairbury Women’s Club for a lot of years now and they have a proven history of successful participation for both sellers and buyers. There’s no better time than the present to finally make that move and get the clutter out of storage and, for you bargain hunters, treasure hunters, and the like, its a great opportunity to go “hunting”. They’re fun and they can be pretty exciting if you find what you want or need so, for you sellers, Good Luck, and, for you buyers, Happy Hunting!
