FAIRBURY, IL – Stock Car Racing – Hey Race Fans, here comes the Fairbury American Legion Speedway with its 2016 racing schedule. The track has been refurbished and now has a brand new set of restrooms, a makeover on the old restroom facilities, new bleachers, bleachers where there weren’t bleachers, and a new look that is designed to make you, the fan, more comfortable in a spectator sport that takes you to the limits of excitement. Come on out and enjoy the new facilities as well as all of the amenities that were already there (including all the food and beverage stands) and treat you and yours with a night at the races. Every Saturday night you’ll find a great collection of these Iron Horse Jockey’s, in all the stock car classes, competing for first place cash as they thunder their way around this quarter mile dirt track in the heat and feature races that each evenings events brings to those that are tough enough and good enough to qualify. The roster is loaded with competitors from near and far and there are several “special events” through the season that sport “big money” and attract even more of the big names in the sport. These daredevils will keep you on the edge of your seat as they maneuver through the turns in traffic that has its share of metal squealing, fender banging, and tow truck carnage.
