Pancakes & Sausage – the age old breakfast staple. Always a favorite with folks and Fairbury has got a bunch of guys that are willing to fix you all you can eat – come for breakfast and stay for lunch or, do something in the middle and call it brunch. Fairbury’s International Order of Odd Fellows is staging their annual pancake and sausage breakfast/lunch on Saturday, February 7th, from 7am to 2pm. They will be serving up this combination of batter and meat in the ornate confines of the I.O.O.F. Hall which is located on Fairbury’s Main Street (Locust – North Side) about half way between Third and Fourth Streets. Look for the sign, then the door and you can head on up the steps to the second floor and enjoy some down home style hospitality with an endless supply of appetite busting components. They’ve got coffee, juice, and water to help wash it down with. it’s all reasonably priced, and you’ll be helping out a group of Fellows that do nothing but good things for the community. By the way, if you like what you see and hear then check it out, there could be a place for you in the Order if you’d like to get involved, new members are always welcome.
There’s the place to be come February 7th so go on up and get filled up – you can probably catch up on what’s going on in the area too, there’s always several “in the know” folks at these events who can bring you up to date. Bring everyone you can think of because there is plenty of room so get ahold of Uncle Ned and Cousin Ted and Aunt Matilda and go enjoy some griddle artistry. See you there.
