Cascade Gardens News Flash – our friends out west of Fairbury are celebrating their 5th Anniversary with a Green House Open House on Friday May 2nd and continuing through Saturday the 3rd. JoEllen and company will be offering door prizes and light refreshments to the visitors on these two celebratory days in addition to her well appointed, healthy and well thought out variety of plant life. Spring has sprung and its time to select those flowers, plants, vegetables, shrubs, trees and exotic imports that are going to look just right in those perfect spots in your yards. She even has an assortment of herbs out there to do those herbal things with, so check it out, enjoy the festivities and get your plant shopping started cause she is going to be the Hostess with the Mostess.
By the way, if you bump into additional needs later on, Cascade Gardens will be open until mid-June and you can check in anytime Monday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm. Now in their fifth year of operation this expanded assembly of “things with roots” offers an “on farm” location which, in line with that, also has available “things without roots” such as chickens and eggs from their on site poultry stock as well as a bale of straw if you’re looking for some flower bed cover or, just something to feed your pet cow.
They are located about two miles west of Fairbury on Route 24 and, trust me, if you’re looking you can’t miss it – they’re on the north side of the road and you’ll see those strange looking structures out there on those flat lands a bit before you see the nice sign they’ve got at the end of the driveway.
C’mon out, if you’re looking for flowers and such its a safe bet that Mrs. Gehring can make it happen for you and there will be a little extra boost to your shopping adventure on May 2nd & 3rd with the Open House amenities.
