Located on the extreme Southeast edge of Fairbury the Indian Creek Golf and Country Club presents a challenge to all those who play the game of golf, regardless of the skill level. It is nine holes with eighteen different tees for both men and women and, although the yardage is not strenuous, the devious position of trees, sand, waterways, and boundaries will test all who endeavor to conquer its fairways and greens.

The front nine offers seven par fours, one par three, and one par five while the back nine, with its tee box rearrangement, has five par fours, two par threes, and two par fives. In addition to the timber that adorns most of the holes, there is also a small lake to deal with on holes five and fourteen and Indian Creek meanders through six of the nine holes (adding up to twelve of the eighteen) and it even smiles at you twice on number three and twelve. The course is very well maintained by an energetic and knowledgeable staff and its greens are amongst the finest in the area.

The club offers full memberships, but it is also open to the public and greens fee players. An ample fleet of electric carts is available as well as pull carts, and, for those who like to warm up before they go for real, there are two practice greens and a driving range. The driving range is unique because you hit range balls into a large pond – it’s kind of fun to hit into the water with no penalty but remember, the course itself offers no such freedoms.

The cost of a round for greens fee players – $10 for nine holes and $18 for eighteen.  Cart fees are $7 per person for 9 holes, $14 per person for 18 holes.  You can add an electric cart at $5.00 per person for nine holes and $10.00 for eighteen.

The clubhouse has comfortable dining facilities with a kitchen that is open for lunch on Tuesday and lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday. There is a full service bar, and it is open during the golf season seven days a week and all club house services are available to the walk-in public so you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy a well-rounded menu with daily specials and a salad bar or just to relax in the atmospherically controlled comfort provided.

There are also competitively priced banquet facilities available upstairs with multiple access both up and down and a spacious seating capacity that can handle get togethers both large and small. The upstairs includes its own kitchen and bar so it is suitably self-contained.

Now, if we’ve got your interest fired up, you can get there by going south off of Fairbury’s Route 24 onto Seventh Street (the Cropsey Blacktop) for about a mile and it’s right there on the west side of the road – you can get a full view of the ninth hole as you drive by and understand why it’s the number one handicap hole on the course. For additional information or for reservations you can call 815-692-2655 or, you can email us at  It’s easy to get to, it’s fun, it’s picturesque, and you’ll have a great time no matter the reason for your going – so, go – enjoy!
