Meyer’s Gifts and Services was inspired by the closing of the local jeweler in 2008. Folks still need watch batteries installed, engraving and repair grandma’s rings that a jeweler normally performs. Roberta Meyers started the business in a hurry on Nov. 1, 2008, under the Cinderella stairs at the Walton Centre on a small card table – offering watch batteries, children’s banks, and clocks. A week later the 4’x8’ Kiosk was done that was to be her business space at the north-west of the Walton Centre. Within a year, the business was moved to one of the beautiful rooms. A year later, it was relocated (still in Walton Centre) at the west front entrance door at 102 W. Locust St. That humble card table has expanded into a business with many different products and services.

In early 2014, Meyer’s Gifts moved to a large space that used to be a local pharmacy. At 122 W. Locust, in this shop’s unique repertoire, you will find Gooseberry patch cookbooks, children’s books, wickless candles, Crow Canyon Home enamelware, Rada cutlery, dip mixes, soup mixes, Burt’s Bee products, boxed cards, inspiring Christian music, and a whole lot more. Roberta Meyer’s (owner) store also features some very welcome services such as watch battery installation, engraving and jewelry repair, a laser engraver and an embroidery machine to put those professional touches in place. She and her staff use patience and skills, which most of us don’t have, to put the right things in the right place and finishing with those things working like they’re supposed to and looking good doing it.
