Recently, a nice blog was written about Fairbury at www.digthedunes.com. This is someone who writes about traveling and finding Hidden Treasures in northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. She stepped outside of the normal traveling area for her blog and came to visit Fairbury and then wrote a nice blog about our community!
The key takeaway from this is that we should strive to be that Hidden Treasure that folks from all over want to come and see. The blog named some of our notable sights… “the old city hall, the new furniture store and thriving thrift shops.”
Some other items mentioned were our paved trail, Fugate Woods, and the “winding dirt path following Indian Creek.” The blog also says Fairbury is “nestled amongst the cornfields.” This is an attraction!
“What can we do to attract more attention from bloggers?” asks Bobbi McKeon, coordinator of the Specialty Shops. “Keep being an attractive place to visit, shop, dine, and live. We have a lot of great things happening here. Let’s continue to make the efforts so that folks can continue saying, “I had the pleasure of traveling with my family to Fairbury!”
