In France, there is the crêpe. In India, you can eat dosa. In Japan, okonomiyaki is a popular dish. Here in the United States, we have flapjacks, hotcakes, or just plain ol’ pancakes. No matter what you call them, the SELCAS team is serving them at the SELCAS Pancake & Sausage Breakfast! On April 20th from 7 am to 1 pm, come to the Indian Creek Banquet Room at the Golf Course for the annual SELCAS fundraiser.
The South East Livingston County Ambulance Services (SELCAS) are the area’s trusted emergency medical services and ambulatory transport. While we hope you won’t need their help any time soon, Fairbury SELCAS needs yours! They are raising money to buy new IV pumps for their ambulances, and these pumps will soon be mandatory with no extra funding to supply them. Now, SELCAS is depending on the Fairbury community and surrounding areas to chip in and help out.
“Go enjoy pancakes and sausage! With this being the great ambulance crew’s fundraiser, let’s support this wonderful team with a nice donation,” says Bobbi McKeon, owner of Heart’s Desire.
Speaking of breakfast foods, there is an Easter Egg Hunt at Once ‘n Again! On April 19th from 10 am to 7 pm, scour the store for hidden Easter eggs filled with discounts (10% or 20% off) or chocolate treats. Once you find an egg, search out a Once ‘n Again employee to help you check out. Kids can help their parents hunt for eggs, but they can also help themselves to the chocolate bowl at the check-out desk. Only one egg prize per family!
Easter is coming up shortly! While you’re in the shopping mood, don’t forget to look through Once ‘n Again’s collection of Easter dresses and dress shirts.
