The Christmas season is just around the corner, and it’s time to start buying gifts! There is no better time to go on a shopping spree than on Monday, November 5th, at the Specialty Shops Holiday Open House. You’re almost guaranteed to find a gift for everyone at all of the participating stores.
Participating shops include Kilgus Farmstead Country Store, Country Cupboard, Dave’s Supermarket, Fairbury Furniture, The Spotted Owl, Serendipity, Lost Arts, Heart’s Desire Antiques & Accents, and Once ‘n Again.
The stores will be open until 8 pm, so hurry in before the open house ends!
While the Specialty Shops Holiday Open House is a great way to get your Christmas shopping out of the way, it’s also an amazing way to benefit your community. Remember for every local purchase a portion of the sales tax (1.25%) goes toward the town and county, and 1% goes to the county’s school districts. (Shopping out of town doesn’t benefit our local area like this!) Isn’t it amazing to think that, while you give your friends and family gifts once a year, you can give your town, county, and schools a gift year-round?
