Listen up! There is lots of opportunity for food and fun this week and next!
On Saturday, June 10th, the Livingston County is sponsoring a Breakfast on the Farm at Kilgus Farmstead. Go have a biscuit and gravy, eggs, and milk, juice or coffee for only one dollar! While you are there, don’t miss the Country Store with all kinds of locally produced items for sale – Kilgus meat and milk, cheese, jams, jellies, and a whole lot more.
Thursday (June 8th) is the beginning of Chatsworth’s Sesquicentennial – its 150th birthday during their annual Heritage Days! This year’s event is HUGE and lasts through Saturday (June 10th) with a big carnival, car show, tractor show, food, entertainment, fun for the family, and much, much more. The Sesquicentennial Facebook pages says, “Bring your appetite to the Sesquicentennial as there will be a scrumptious variety of food served – from ribeye sandwiches to brisket to shrimp to tacos to pizza and much more, and as always, the church food stand specialties and healthy “carnival food.” Who could ask for more?!” For more a complete schedule of events, go to www.ChatsworthILAttractions.com.
Then, on Tuesday (June 13th) Dave’s Supermarket is hosting their annual Pig Out on Third St! This is always a fun event – a great place with great food and activities for the children.
“The summer time is a great time with all the events for families,” say Bobbi McKeon, owner of Heart’s Desire and coordinator of the Specialty Shops in Fairbury.
“We are fortunate to live in small communities where there is such great food and fun activities for the family. Hope many, many folks can enjoy these events!”
