Fairbury is a busy place. The upcoming several days bring a variety of events!
Get out your cutlery because the annual PC FFA Hog Roast and Auction is fast approaching! On March 21st beginning at 4 pm, the FFA team will be serving a free meal, and shortly after at 6:30 pm, they will begin a live auction. Money raised in the auction will directly support PC FFA’s service projects and activities throughout the year as well as the team’s nationally-recognized judging program.
On Saturday March 23rd, Divot’s Bar & Grill at Indian Creek Golf Course will be hosting their annual cash bash from 6-9pm in the upstairs banquet room. This is an annual fundraiser for the Golf Course. A golf course adds a special complexion to a community. It takes support and efforts from the community to keep it thriving. Tickets still available for purchase at Divots!
During Spring Break, on Monday, March 25th, beginning at 10AM, Dominy Memorial Library is hosting Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop, a special library-themed storytime and animal workshop. There will be reading of a couple stories, singing some songs, and then children can bring a character from the story to life in a Build-a-Bear type workshop. After stuffing, naming, and filling out the birth certificate, children can take their new reading buddy home. A drawing will be held to win one of the books to be read and snacks will be offered as well. Registration was required for this event prior to March 8th. Lots of children will be having fun at the library that day!
“Events such as these bring life into our small communities,” says Bobbi McKeon, owner of Heart’s Desire. “Thanks to all who contribute and help make this a great place to live.”
