Dairy Queen Blizzards – the ice cream treat that’s fun to eat. Hey, all you DQ Blizzard fans, need a reason to go and treat yourself to one of those cold concoctions, or, maybe you and someone else? Well, here you go. Fairbury’s Dairy Queen, as part of a nationwide effort, has a special day here in July that gives you a very good reason to indulge in these summer heat beaters. Dairy Queen is once again sponsoring a program that is linked to the Children’s Hospital Network. Appropriately named “Miracle Treat Day”, this national chain is donating a portion of its proceeds from every Blizzard that it sells on Thursday, July 27th, to a local medical facility specifically dedicated to children in need of special professional medical care. Our local DQ will be sending their accumulated financial help to St. Francis Hospital and all they need is for you to come up and buy a Blizzard on this special day. And, you can buy them for the whole family or group because there’s no limit and there’s no extra cost for you – how’s that for a program that gives you the opportunity to help with a great cause by simply enjoying an outstanding ice cream treat. Even if you’re not an acquainted fan of the Blizzard this would be a very good time to try one and, who knows, you might just find a new way to cool off from the summer heat.
