FAIRBURY AMERICAN LEGION SPEEDWAY
FAIRBURY, IL – The Fairbury Speedway’s 2017 racing season is well underway and the track is heated up with a schedule that’s running at “full throttle”. Our own local “Thunder Dome” Syndrome has a full June line-up of events coming at you that will lead into one of the bigger races of the summer with the UMP SUMMER NATIONALS race for Late Models that will bring them in from near and far. This one has a $10,000 purse for the winner and you know the field will be full with late model stock cars piloted by drivers who all want to be the survivor that takes that checkered flag.
The undercard features a $1500 purse for the DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals and a $400 purse for the Street Stocks. (SP is off for the week).
It’s all happening on Saturday, June 24th, on a great quarter mile dirt track that’s in an arena with expanded seating and restrooms and plenty of food and drink outlets along with other “patron friendly” condiments that makes the whole experience very enjoyable. Come on out, bring your family and friends, and join in the fun with one of the more exciting spectator sports around – see what real “surround sound” is all about!
