Nov & Dec Shop Events

FAIRBURY, IL – That elite group of shops and businesses, aka “The Specialty Shops of Fairbury”, has a line up of events for the Holidays that will add some “stretch” to your shopping adventures.  Starting with Friday, November 27th, and going through Saturday, the 28th, they have “Black Friday” and “Small Biz Saturday” – gives us a bit of local pzazz for our post Thanksgiving energy and all kinds of merchandising, dining and personal services to satisfy our shopping needs and, it’s right here in the friendly confines.

Then, come Saturday, December 5th, it’s Christmas Parade Day in Fairbury and our Local Entrepreneurs are coinciding with a Christmas Open House event – gives you places to go, for your things to buy, both before and after the parade as well as some good “eateries” along the way – you can make a day out of it, catch the parade, grab some lunch or a treat, do your shopping, and maybe finish off with dinner before heading back to the ranch.  Updated reports have confirmed that Santa is taking time out from his busy schedule and will be making an appearance at the parade festivities.  And, he’ll be available for the kids once he’s finished the parade route but also, he’s got another visit set for the following Monday (see below).

Continuing this cluster of days with shopping flexibility we come to Monday, December 7th, and our Shops are continuing their program of “Shop Late Monday” – many of them will be open until 7:00 pm and Dave’s Supermarket will be open until 9:00 pm which, is their regular time throughout the week.  As pointed out above, we have our friend Santa returning to Fairbury and he will be greeting and taking requests at Meyer’s Gifts & Services up on Fairbury’s Main Street so stop in and say “hello” to the Man in Red!

All of these businesses will have their own “in store” bargains, specials, discounts, and more so make sure you check them out.
